Getting to this point has been a family endeavour. But how did we, a British family living in rural East Germany, reach the point of setting up Esther’s Heart e.V? To explain this we must go back in time to 2013. In April of this year, after much prayer and practical preparation we moved with our then 4 children, aged between 4 and 11 years old to one of the most easterly borders of Germany. As we were passionate about education, God used the schools our children would attend as the compass to ensure we navigated our way to exactly the correct spot.

For more than 25 years now, my husband and I have personally been on a journey with Jesus, experiencing more of His abundant provision in spirit, soul and body. Since the birth of our first daughter 23 years ago, parenting and education have always been an enormous focus of our energy and resources in every sense of the word.

It has been and continues to be our greatest joy to see our children discovering God’s abundant life for themselves. The fact that we are able to observe their journeys is definitely the result of a deliberate decision by us as parents, to discover and then help and support our children in their own discovery and pursuit of the path and calling which God has for them. As Proverbs 22:6 says, we are to train our children up in the way THEY should go.

Esther’s Heart comes from a desire to facilitate this journey in the lives of more children and young people, through setting up Biblically-based bilingual schools, through national and international exchange programmes and through charitable giving, which sets every part of a person free to experience life more abundantly.
